Tuna Cakes with Dill Sauce

Tuna is pretty much a staple at my house, we buy it by the case. My husband will eat it right out of the can! A favorite lunch or snack around here is yummy yummy tuna cakes! I have made them a couple different way but really do like these the best.

Tuna Cake with Dill Sauce | Fairhome Road

{INGREDIENTS}

Tuna Cakes –

  • 3 – 5oz Cans Tuna
  • 2 Green Onion – chopped
  • 2 Eggs – Beaten
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon
  • 1/2 Cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • Salt and pepper

Combine all ingredients and form into 6 patties. Cook over medium heat with olive oil until brown on both sides. These are actually pretty dense – if that isn’t your thing just use 1 egg.

Dill Sauce –

  • 3 Tablespoons Mayo
  • 3 Tablespoons Sour Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Dry Dill
  • 2 Good Splashes of Hot Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Dijon
  • 1 Teaspoon lemon juice
  • Salt and Pepper

Unless you like to completely smoother your food with sauce you will have about half of the mixture left. I just put what I have remaining in a container and throw it in the fridge. It would be a good veggie dip for a quick snack.

I like to rate the deliciousness of what I make by the amount of food left on my husband’s plate. He will have to send me the photo!
