Cheese Ravioli with Creamy Bacon Sauce

My first recipe post!

I have been stressing a little too much about what these first few posts will be, I just have to start going! A lot of the time I plan our meals out a week or so and do my grocery shopping based on that {the weekly meal planner and shopping list coming soon} BUT sometimes I don’t grocery shop for a long time and wonderful meals are created with what we have around the house {much like this one}. I found a couple recipes online, nothing that really stood out to me but I did use this as inspiration.

 Cheese Ravioli with Bacon | Fairhome Road

{INGREDIENTS}

  • Bag of Frozen Cheese Ravioli (I used a 1 1/2 lb bag)
  • Half pound of BACON – sliced
  • 1 medium yellow/white onion – finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of Garlic – minced
  • 8oz heavy cream
  • 1 cup peas (I used canned but would suggest fresh or frozen)
  • Salt and Pepper for seasoning

Heat Ravioli through per directions on the bag. {probably boil in water for about 8 minutes – DON’T over do it!}

Cook bacon to liking and remove with a slotted spoon leaving the grease.

Place your onion and garlic into the bacon grease and cook until translucent and fragrant.

Pour in cream and slightly thicken {I think I let it bubble for about 2  minutes TOPS} This is where I seasoned with Salt and Pepper. Don’t skip the seasoning part – your dish will still be good but not great!

Add the bacon back in along with the cup of peas and heat through.

Plate your ravioli and cover with sauce. I garnished with some green onion because that is what I had BUT some fresh Parmesan would be yummy!

I like to rate the deliciousness of what I make by the amount of food left on my husband’s plate.  This one achieved clean plate status!!

I want feedback, I love the food I make but always want to make it better! Make changes? Let me know!
